The company has roots to 1924 and Jo Ann Wisteria, a young woman who had a passion for collecting and restoring old items. Jo Ann was inspired by her grandmother, who owned a peacock farm with a wisteria garden in Virginia. Jo Ann inherited her grandmother's love for nature and beauty, and named her company after her favorite flowers and birds.

Jo Ann started her business by selling her grandmother's belongings at local flea markets and auctions. She soon gained a reputation for having a keen eye for quality and rarity, and attracted many loyal customers who shared her appreciation for vintage style. Jo Ann expanded her inventory by traveling across the country and abroad, looking for hidden treasures and bargains.

Wistful Wisteria is still owned and operated by the family, who is proud to continue the family legacy and vision. The company's mission is to provide customers with unique and authentic vintage goods, that reflect their personality and taste. Wistful Wisteria believes that vintage goods are not only valuable and beautiful, but also meaningful and sentimental, as they carry the stories and memories of the people who owned them before.

Most recently, we have expanded our physical footprint in Williamsburg, VA at the Williamsburg Antique Mall showcase area.

Continuing efforts to reach new customers, we have expanded our scope to include Western-themed goods including cowboy boots, hats, select apparel and carefully crafted accessories. These items will be additionally featured in our online eBay store and through Poshmark.
